Taking a Moment

I just want to take this moment to let you know how much I love you and I do know how much you were the biggest part of my healing.. While heading to North Carolina yesterday riding in the car, you taking a turn driving and I was rubbing the back of your neck, I got the strongest flashback, I have had in a good while, of us in our p.j.'s and you rubbing my hands and arms,night after night, to try and help to relieve the pain I was in...for months you did this without complaint,..... I want to let you know that I know it may seem like I had forgotten but believe me when I say, I have not ...you were and are my hero, best friend and always will be... I love you....Wyman Ragg, and I know how lucky I am to have you in my life... Thank you.... Forever..... Anyway on with the blog... I am so excited to be back in the mountains again, the fresh smell in the air.. the crisp cool and the beautiful views... wow... it,s been too long..We had a good trip up, and other than the car almost overheating, all went very well... Thank You ,Thank You... Everything at the house seems just as we left it ...and I can't wait to see what we get up to next... Have a wonderful saturday all....

And The Rains Came and Came



 





 



Holy Smoke, It's Raining Inside the building now..... What the heck????
Anyway,  I got pictures while getting soaked, cleaning up this mess.....and the landlord is going to hear about this too!!!!!
It's been another busy week or two.... many painting projects. My favorite....
We found a small visitor (turtle) on the patio at home yesterday, smaller than a penny, and after a photo or two we sent him on his way...cute...
I have a class each day this weekend so that will be fun... [literally] I do have fun...
We celebrated PopPop's birthday this week with a dinner out and goodies from Housewife Bakery, eclairs and cream horns... His favorites. He would have been 106 this year. Happy Birthday PopPop. You are missed....
To the many people who have a birthday this month, we wish you the same.... Happy Birthday!!
I sent a painting off to be auctioned for the M.M.M. in New Orleans, knowing it will go to a good home and a good cause.  It is called "Speckled Eggs."

I sure hope you enjoy this beautiful Saturday...OK, it just started to rain again. Enough already!

Holiday Weekend

So Far So Good....
Thank You, Mark and Adrian for having your birthday celebration with us at "Painting With A Twist," on Friday night, It was fun and you are all artists now,  I'm so proud.....I sure hope you guys had as much fun as I did....
Yesterday started out with chores and a visit with Mom and Deb....
Than ended with a get together at Wallace and Val's... Yummy food and great friends made for a beautiful Sunday at their house on the lake....Even the weather cooperated...Thank You!!1 Thank You!!!
I was so happy, not to have to wait until Christmas to catch up with you guys...
I am doing a pre-paint this morning for my Thursday night class.."Days End", It is a nice sunset picture....
as for today I just don't know whats in store for us, but am looking forward to it anyway...

Back to the Beginning

 Man does this bring it all flying back....
Jenn's very first hair do, and Aidan's too.. I guess she is just showing some support...

Dinerware is Andy's company and they gave these out at the company picnic, too funny...

Here we are to the last day of August and a Blue Moon too....
We shall see how things go....
I have had five days in a row off and way to much time to piddle away....but I have been able to get a project or two finished... Tomorrow is a double shift, so....
One of the things I want to do today is start the Sketchbook 2013.. I have had it since June and have yet to start...
Todays the day so lets get on with it...

My thoughts and prayers are with the people of New Orleans today... Please let all be okay.....
We ,admittedly got so lucky, it didn't make a appearance here...Wind and rain was it .
we have limbs down all over the yard and yesterday at 2:30 our old lean too greenhouse came crashing to the ground, and a yard full of water was all we got... Thank You ! Thank You! Thank You!!!!!
I sure hope you guys will be able to say the same.....
Yesterday we got the car back, [Had to get a brake job] and than I was off to the grocery store for mom ,as well as me.  I hit the post office too,  with the painting I am sending to the Million Milf March to be auctioned off... it's on it's way...
We got to skype with Jenn and Aidan yesterday, he is trying to walk already,[just turned eight months] by pushing his chair, walking behind it... Too cute!!!!!
Pet Portraits went very well Sunday, we had 26 people and their really great pet paintings....Yeah!!!All the repairs were made at the North Carolina house to satisfy the insurance company and that's something else to be thankful for ....

so far a pretty good week wouldn't you say????

In Our Direction

Wrapping up these last two weeks, it has been the usual busy time...Good times,  just busy....
Barb called me and we spent some time catching up,  which was way past due and very nice to talk to her...two grandkids later and she is having a ball with them...
I had a rare, early morning class yesterday that went well, but ran late, and still they all did a great job...
and then it was off to book club, being held at Bahama Breeze. We had a great time visiting and discussing the book, eating and enjoying the view of the water. The book was"On The Island" by Tracy Gravis Graves. Everyone was there and all seemed to enjoy it.... Just before we finished eating we got to watch the dolphins swimming, [a big part of the book]....That was a nice parting touch for us....
Aidan has also been busy,  picnicking ,walking Green Lake, [riding in the stroller while mom walks] .
He went to his first birthday party for two girls turning one year....Looks from here like he had fun...
He is also starting swimming lessons next month .....
We are so looking forward to our visit to see them in October.......Can't wait....
I need to get busy now, today is pet portraits class and I did 13 sketches, but received one more last night so, have got to finish it....We have 26 people signed up for it.... good crowd...
Please everyone stay safe from the approaching storm.  I sure hope it does little damage....
We have had two days in a row with no rain,so we shall see what happens next...

A Good Monday

Wow It was a very good start to this new week...
I did all the same things in the A.M. ,bank, groceries, and a visit to Moms, to find Lilly doing better, Thank You!
 Then home to pop in the pool to cool.....
At five Wy suggested we use the Gift Card to "BoneFish Grill" we were given from Linda and Allen..
 what a good idea that was... The food was more than good,  with leftovers.. A great big Thank You to Linda and Allen for a great night out....
 On the way out I recognized two women that Teresa and I went to high school with...
[Wow, do you know how long ago that must have been????? ]
They looked just the same, and I haven't seen either one of them in many years....Susie is Barb's sister, and Dreama is a very close friend of Teresa's so:
 I was able to ask about how Barb Capaz Warren and her family are doing, Thank goodness all is well there.... And they are still living in Atlanta...
We may be able to stop and see them some time, passing through to North Carolina.....
This was Wy and my second date out, since he got home,,, we also went to Hank's on Saturday for a late lunch ...Yummy fried food... and bar-b -que.... Fun!!!
In other news Aidan has gotten three more teeth to make a total of eight... and he and Jenn went to story time at the Library yesterday ,which now that he sits up and can move around on his own, he really enjoyed this outing... Do I need to say??? What a Cute boy......
Amy however didn't have as good a day, as she slipped, not falling, but knocking everything out of whack,   painful back again... I sure hope you recover quickly as work has resumed this week....and nobody wants to be in that kind of pain...
Now as I work tonight I must get on with this day.. ,but I will be back....

Weekend off??????

This doesn't happen very often.... The weekend off I mean..
Wy and Amy got home safely this week and Thank You for that.....
Jenn says Aidan is off and moving at a very fast clip scooting and crawling.
It's all over but the shouting, with that :sit them in one place and expect them to stay stuff"...
 Here we go......Hang on for a long ride....
Let the baby-proofing begin....
I sure miss you guys....
I have done three pre-paints this weekend.
I am contemplating how to go about painting the Bowling Ball House, (being able to get lots of it on one canvas)... We shall see...
Thursday is getting to be a distant memory, as we got two new tires on Friday and I have almost forgiven myself for such a costly mistake... Live and learn.....(watch driving over large curbs), Just don't do it....
Amy is the featured writer with her blog, on Studio30 Plus this Monday, so be sure and check this out ...I'm so proud..... Great Job, Amy.... She is also back to work monday so very busy day....
I know, I know, girls..."Traitor Mom," but Marvin made me paint it......

Wee Ones

We had another great day Friday, this time at Fred Howard Park....
I was invited to join the clan at the beach .
Sky, sand and sea, my favorite, then add wee ones, and you have made my day!!!!!
We  arrived early 8:30 A.M. before it got so hot and stayed until 1:00 P.M. still not really ready to go, but naps were needed and I was going to head to work... So sorry you were unable to get me Tobey, but all went very well with the class last night. A wonderful time was had by all...
A big congratulations shout out to "Painting With A Twist, St Pete" on your third year.. sorry I couldn't be there for that....
I have another busy weekend, beginning with S.O.S. plus a meeting, then a class from 7 to 10 this evening, and a class from 2 to 5 tomorrow, so I must get moving..
