I have been thinking and talking to coworkers recently about how much I love to paint with acrylic paints. They dry so quickly and you can go right back in and change things and work on it constantly...
It has been so many years since I attempted to use oil paints, I had the idea I didn't like using them....Well.....Guess what??? I may have to eat those words, because yesterday I got out a set of oil paints and got to work on a small[8x10] canvas. I used a simple subject and limited palette, and I must confess I had a ball trying to get used to this medium...
It all started when one of the artists I follow on Facebook issued a challenge to paint  30 paintings in 30 days for the month of September... Yikes, that's days away. It helped that she suggested we make a list of things we wanted to paint and that we could paint more than one if we knew there were going to be days we can't paint... even maybe pick a theme...
I am also considering doing another Palette knife painting. I have only done one of those and it was when I first started painting as an adult.....but I do still have it and I do still like it.. so maybe....
I am also putting some of my paintings on Fine Art America and trying to learn all the steps... so  stay tuned, and wish me luck with all the new adventures......
