Thanksgiving Day

Best lunch ever.....
I wish all a most wonderful Thanksgiving!!!
 I am Thankful For all the people in my life and am a very happy, lucky girl, for all that has been afforded me and my family!!
We are in the mountains and some family members are unable to be with us this year.. and you are all being missed by all concerned...
Hoping maybe we can all be together next year....
The holidays are coming on like gang busters and I am bound and determined to keep up, maybe even exceed my own expectations... we shall see...
And what changes shall the New Year ahead, bring to us all???
I guess we shall see soon enough...

Re-Opening,P.W.A.T. Tampa

This Wednesday evening at 5:00 P.M. is Our ribbon cutting ceremony with the Tampa Chamber of Commerce , and then on to a great paint party ,painting Red, White and Zin...with lots of snacks ,wine and gifts...  How fast is this year passing??? W.O.W.
 I am teaching the sugar mask for the "Day of the Dead" today, and this class should be fun. it's a celebration and we at Painting with a Twist are so ready for that...so I am looking forward to it for sure...
Last night we had an early birthday get together for Wy, and the evening was very nice.. I made a pot of cheese fondue, along with our dinner menu, and then cake and ice cream... Fat and happy were we...

I have an unexpected day off today and am very excited to see what I shall get up to with it.

Things at work are picking up a bit and that's a very good thing.  Twisters, I can't wait for the big re-grand opening on November 6th 2013. Big party planned with a ribbon cutting ceremony and all. Lots of great giveaways and goodies with wine, beer and snacks. We have our Beer and Wine License now and we are ready to go....Lets Twist again....

See What I Can Do with That Rusty Metal Shelf

I am very pleased to get this old metal shelf painted and happy too with the results...
The plan is for it to go in Amy's new classroom ... I sure hope she likes it..
This is just one of many little projects I am finishing up...Lots of fun...
 I love painting furniture... I could have just stopped at painting, I know....

Tampa PWATs Prohibition Ends now....

We at Painting With A Twist Tampa are finally able to celebrate.. Woohoo!!!!!
We got our wine and beer license and all is a go again to bring your own wine too......
It has been a long dry spell and we are ready to get back in the swing.. We are so Thankful for all of you who have hung in there with us through all of this and we are throwing a bash to show our appreciation and to celebrate our freedom to Twist again. This shindig is going to be Nov.6th. 7:00 P.M.  There will be lots of fun and lots of give a ways... A great painting too is on deck to add to your original collection so, Lets Twist again like we did last summer and have a great time ...

The First Grapefruit

I planted this grapefruit tree in the wrong place in my yard about 10 or more years ago. I say the wrong place because it turn out to be in deep shade, so it has never produce any fruit.. that is until now.. There is one grapefruit on the tree this year and I just saw it there yesterday.... we recently had one big tree in the back yard trimmed back and it must have just made enough of a difference... wow, I hope I get to taste when its ripe.
I also wanted to post these pictures on my fire place.

Same thing different day, different painting...
I am always pleasantly surprised by what a difference each frame can make.
We have arrived at another very busy weekend, so we shall see how much I will get done...

I know the photos are not the best, and I am assuming it is the photographer, not the camera.....

But I want to compare the different looks .. It helps me to physically see them side by side, as they say.....To decide which frame I like best on which painting.

 

Mid Month

I can not believe how fast time is flying... It is the middle of the month already... WOW...
I went to Michael's yesterday for two tubes of paint, and came home with 6 new frames. They had a buy one get one free sale going on that I did not know about beforehand, but I am so very glad to have been able to take advantage of....
I will now be posting photos of all my new painting as they look in different styles of frames ..
Please bear with me, as this is fun stuff for me....

This is the same painting, it just looks different in different light.
I have not however, been able to continue to do a painting a day like I had hope... I guess I needed the challenge to keep me at it. I have started some gift paintings for Xmas though ...
Work and life have kept me busy and away from the brushes as often as I would like..
Now I have had the day off so I am cooking dinner....

Cleaned up my act

What do you guys think?? I cleaned up my act and hung two shelves in the family room that will let air circulate around the paintings and let them dry... plus a way to display them while they dry...
I can tell you, it is much better than laying all over every surface in the room...
I am a happy girl...
Today is the first morning I have been able to open doors and windows for a hour to let the fresh air in... It is 73 degrees and a bit less humid.. Thank You....
I have also been busy doing pre-paints for work, Four finished,three to go...
Also, on yesterdays subject, not one response about helping me with a Buy Now button, but I added ten paintings to my Fine Art America account at  Fine Art America  You can buy originals and prints. I am going to reopen my ESTY store soon too. I hope that helps my get started selling some of my new paintings.... wish me luck... Please.....

Out Of Room

Help....Please!.... I am completely out of room, and have no where else to dry and show the oil paintings and must start to sell some to make room for more, because of my abundance of creative energy...I want to do more....
What I need from you guys is an explanation of exactly how to place a Buy Now button on to my blog and what I hook it to, etc.....I am not great on the computer so really need help. with this.. Anyone???
Work has been keeping me busy lately and that is a good thing, but any spare time I am painting, so....any help with this would really be appreciated...

Holy Smoke I made it.... I am so pleased that I could do this, and in oils too...

I know I will continue to do a lot more painting now , at least until the holiday season is upon us...

It does look better live than in this picture....but that has been true with most of them so I am getting used to it now... I just can not believe there is only one more to finish...

This is the first day all month that I did not get the painting finished....I did however do seven pre-sketches for pet portraits today and two pre-paints for Monday and Tuesday night classes...I was at work from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M., so no time for personal painting until Sunday morning,...

I am going to try to get two done tomorrow.. I am off so it may happen ... We shall see...

Snow on Dick's Creek

I just needed a bit of cool refreshing air so I tried a snow scene.. It really gave me a time, being so small and all, and white...and not a photo yet does it any kind of justice...I am not pleased but it was worth a shot just to get that smile that the first snow fall brings....Maybe if I give it a little time and work on it a bit more... We shall see.. Anyway on to tomorrow...
