46th Anniversary

Happy Anniversary My Love!!!!!
It is so hard to imagine that we have been married for 46 years now....
It has gone by too fast...
 Wy, I love you!!!!
We were just babies and grew up together,and have been more then blessed the whole of our life's journey together....And with such great family and friends...
May we have many more happy years together....

Recovering

 I am teaching the fish on June 21st.... Come paint this ceramic fish with me....



   Wy's  starting the recovery process now and, slowly but surely he will be back on his feet...
Thank You to all the wonderful people who have been helping and supporting us as we go through these trying times and head out the other side....
There is, after all ,light at the end of this tunnel....
Now that we are home I am keeping busy while he is at rest, doing some prep for the up coming classes... See examples above
I am still upset about people using our yard as their dump...But am trying to flap my wings and move on from it....

Home Again Home Again...

I am home and back to full working days...
but off today so no plans yet, maybe just a day of rest...We shall see
I took many pictures with my new phone,while I was away,and tried to post daily, but alas,I did not know how so .....
Anyway I had a ball and painted lots of pictures while there....
much fun was had by all...
The weather was beautiful as well, which helped too....
It was sure nice to meet Beth and have such a nice experience,sharing time and space with her....Great person...
We are now ready for the next step at home which is Wy's second hip, coming up on Tuesday...Please keep him thoughts....

Off to see Head Quarters

I am off on a new adventure today...Going to get trained...

I am very excited to be given this chance to meet all the fine folks that make the magic happen back on the home front...

The starting point of "Painting With A Twist." 

Four full days of painting and fraternizing with the head honchos and all the other people that make this well oiled machine run so well....

I am so happy to be a part of all of this....

Down by the water side , added to Etsy

 

I am really trying to get more art work into my Etsy shop.

I have started adding some of the paintings from my "Down By The Waterside" collection today. Yesterday it was the paintings from my "Fruits of my Labor "collection..so if you get a chance, stop by to visit my shop...

Work has been very busy, which you already know, I think is a very good thing...I spent ten hour there on Mother's Day,with back to back,to back, sold out classes...much chaos but much fun and a wonderful time was had by all....

Must fly now, many things to get finished before heading out to work...

I finally was able to get my Etsy shop up and running again .
I hope you will stop by and take a look... slowly but surely I will get more paintings added to this site ,so please keep checking from time to time to get to see all the new addition as they go up.

I am now officially dragged into the 21st century,and the newest proud owner of an Iphone......

I am having fun learning to text too, for the first time...
So much to do, so little time..
I started listing paintings on my Esty shop again and have now got 2 items for sale.,from "The Fruits of my labor" collection.. I will be adding a few more each day for a while ..Hope you can take a peek and find something you would like....
Come on down and paint it with me on Mother's Day, I am team teaching a two piece painting and you get to choose which side of the painting you want to do...They can hang together or be each their own painting...Mom will love it......
I am wishing every mother out there as great a mothers day, as I am going to have....

Mo Saying Hey

I have always heard that you should bloom where you are planted..
I think that is what Mo is doing ,because this is the only place in our whole yard that has these little purple flowers in bloom right now.. This is where he is planted... He is missed by his whole family...We all took ownership of him at different times, in most of his many lives.....We all love him.. he is letting us know he is doing well and thinking of us...Right?????
Today is starting off to be a beautiful 57 degrees and I am happy to have doors and windows open again, after three weeks of 89 degrees...Yeah!!!!!

Oops,I did it again..

                            Not a pretty sight.....
Another smashed toe in the middle of the night...That hurts...
Guess That is what I get for going around as bare footed as a yard dog... But it still hurts like a mofo.....
I can not even count how many times this has happened, but I still have not learned to turn a light on, or to slip on shoes when I get up in the night ....
Maybe some day I will....
On a positive note...I have always loved the color purple....

Surprise

I had so much fun making this sail boat diaper cake and doing this surprise shower for one of our co-workers yesterday....
It is the first time anyone had surprised her before, and I think she was happy about that.....I made the pacifiers out of lifesavers and jelly beans...and filled the bags with soda pop and popcorn.. cute... Lots of Pasta salad and fruit salad and Cuban sandwiches, plus desserts...It was small but a nice gathering....and it made me happy to be able to do it....
We had an invitation to a fish fry dinner last night with the best freshly caught,  fresh water Bass, ever... so yummy...Thank You !!!Thank You.!!!...For lots of good food and great friends...
And here we are to Easter ... I wish everyone a very nice Easter Day.....

Not your average weekend

The man wrote Will You Marry Me ? on his... 

                    The Guide Dog Painting....


I had so much fun teaching this weekends classes...
On Saturday night, We were so happy to assist a man as he ask his special lady to marry him .... So touching and so much fun to be a part of.....She cried, and said yes, and all the other women in the class cried too....  Congrates go out to both of them!!!! [It was the first for me].....
When I got home Saturday night I found out Amy sold one of her special tree drawings, and she is thrilled about that too...{Congrates to you on that Amy}
On Sunday I was lucky enough to teach a class to benefit the Guide Dog Group.
 we had two guide dogs there with us,and so sweet, so good... Two people that were sight challenged, were able to paint the dog picture,and were thrilled to be able to do so ,by feeling, and following the glue tracing lines I had dried on the canvases... It was so much fun to be apart of this special day too... Thank You!!! Thank You!!!!

What a great weekend I had at work.....
 Hope your was that good too....

Something New

Reefies Fish
It is something new to P.W.A.T. and we were the first to try it out in our area..
We had a small turn out, but lots of fun ...choosing colors and deciding where they would be hung ,before the painting started.....
Everyone was very pleased with the results,and agreed we should continue to offer this new painting experience....

Great weekend

 

A sure sign of spring...My Tabebuia tree is in full bloom and so beautiful.. best it has looked....
 We had a very nice weekend,starting with Saturday evening getting to visit with old friends that have not been back here in years and friends that live here but we rarely see... They cooked and brought it over, wow was it yummy and we laughed and had a wonderful time catching up...
Sunday was our book club meeting and it was a beautiful day...We discussed the book....[ for once] ha ha,  "Big Little Lies" by Liane Moriarty,
 Everyone really liked this one..... and with great food, lots of laughs, and wonderful warm weather, I ended the weekend on a high note, happy and thankful for such good old friends.... Thank You Dayna,you were a wonderful hostess, and  have a great space too, for a whole lot of fun....
It is back to work for me today after two weeks home and I am teaching this fish next week.. something different for us, and lots of fun.. come on down and paint one with me...
wy is heeling little at a time and looking forward to a time that won't be so painful.....
I have a pre-paint to get done so I am out for now...Hope all have a good week.....

We are home and everything went well.. Wy is so happy to be home and into the recovery stages of this first one... He hurts a bit but is getting up and around slowly but surely....
We are so Thankful for all the people at Tampa General for all the great caring and kindness they showed....

March is here already...
Here we go... One more day to get through before Wy's first surgery and I know he is more then ready to get this over with..
 Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.....
I am now off from work for two weeks and able to be home for this...Thank You,, , Thank You ,,,for such great people that I work for, and  those I work with....
Thank You guys for picking up the slack for a bit.....
I will miss you all and hope to be back soon.....
