After 30 years

 WOW!!!! We finally got a new bed... How weird is that... very nice...
and I cut 5 inches off my hair..It has been a very productive week....
Thank You to Jalyn, I was excited, getting to spend the day with you shopping , and it's been way to long...

What beautiful weather we have been having.. I am so enjoying being cool...
Thank you Amy for coming to my class Friday evening and for helping to set up and clean up... That was a very lively class and lots of fun...
Last night I assisted both classes and that was good too...
 Becky, I sure hope you feel better fast....
How nice is it to enjoy the flowers all over the yard and on the back porch...Aah, Nature at it's finest!!!!!
Okay, let's see what this day, and week for that matter, will bring....

Can This Be Right??

As I opened my eyes at six a.m. can it be raining again....amazing!!
 Anyway  Wy's birthday dinner went pretty well... I made a carrot cake, three layer from scratch.. and it is good and than made steak salteado and that was very yummy too!!! Thank You, That they both were very much worth the effort.....
Another headache today,  which I have been having them way to regularly lately and am not pleased about it, but oh well!!!!
It's the start of a busy weekend and I am looking forward to it..Saturday is, and has always been, my fave......
I finished reading "Julia and Julie" on the nook  and really enjoyed that... but it made me aware that I will not be interested in cooking much in the french style... Brains, Kidneys,marrow,... I guess I am not that adventurous when it comes to what I eat....
Reading Amy's entry in her blog this week makes me know the feelings she is having, as she cooks and enjoys the whole experience.... The since of smell was so great yesterday while both things were cooking at different times during the day, I know that was a big part of what kept me going....That and  the end results were so good...
Hearing the pitter patter of the rain gets my mind to wandering, where I do not know, but am having trouble with the task at hand, so I will close for now ... see you soon, here...

I awoke with a huge headache today... Its raining again.. Oh Well I guess we are making up big time for the many years of drought...
Wy and the Beyonces made it home safe from North Carolina...Thank you for lining the roads with angels ....
Yesterday the pet portrait class went well .
 All of them turned out great, and all were pleased... Thank You so much for all your help Becky and Charles!!!!
Jenn and Andy sold their old couch and recieved their new one this weekend and they are very happy...
Eric 's first improv went very well.  So sorry we missed it, but it started at midnight .... he and Amy attended  the Carrolwood Player's  Halloween Blast too...It sounds like a wonderful time was had by all...
We are starting another busy week, so I must get on with it.. I will be back soon ...Have a good one....

Cool Man

Thank You ,Thank You, Thank You , for this beautiful fall weather that the rain brought in.. I am so enjoying the doors and windows open, Hearing the birds in the yard... WOW!!!!
It has really been another busy week here and I was so sorry to have to miss another book club meeting last night, but work went well ,and the crazy  pace continues.... I have in fact enjoyed painting some very pretty pictures too!! I have two classes today and one tomorrow , and it's all good...
I have not had a minute to put anything else on ETSY, but hope to add to the line up this weekend some time... we shall see...
Wy and the Byounce's are doing well in North Carolina, cold, but good...
Jenn is feeling well and preparing...
Aim is not feeling 100% but is rallying... and all seems right in my world...
Hope you guys can say the same... now out into the cool I go... Bye for now...

It's Raining Again

Here we are to Thursday already and it is raining again..I sure hope this is bring in some cooler, less humid weather..
It has been a quiet week in L.W. but I am feeling better ,the soup diet has really been helping...
I added one more item to the ETSY store yesterday,and here's a picture of that..
Things at work have slowed way down ,so I have busied myself here at home with the likes of cleaning and laundry and such... Not near as much fun, but  necessary .....
I sure can tell it's a full moon again... many little hints.. I could have done without... OH WELL!!!!
How did it get to be the middle of October already.. Time for me to start Thinking about preparing to make gifts for something in the not to distant future... I am not ready to call a spade a spade yet so am just hinting in that direction...
 Anyone have any ideas of what I can make or what anyone needs ???? I used to get started in July but as fast as things are moving now It's October before I have had time to blink...
Time to stop, the computer is doing weird things so I am closing it down for a bit ...
No worries I will be Back... It's on with this day....

Pink Flamigo

It's a new day and I am feeling good... I had such a great class of people last night to paint the "Pink Flamigo". It was Rachael's birthday and she threw the party, complete with a large flamingo balloon and 8 bottles of champagne,that made great mimosa's...lots of food and she wore a black shirt with pink flamingo's on it...all the plates and everything with the theme... needless to say the class was lively and lots of fun... what a great way to celebrate....
Tonight I am assisting to an almost full house ,both classes are doing "Twisted Sister"It's a very neat picture.. and so far we have 44 of the fifty people we can seat.... should be fun... Marvin told me to wear my roller skates...

Etsy

I am very excited to have placed my very first painting in our Etsy store.. It's the Paper Wasp Nest , and it's just different enough that it may generate some interest... We shall see...
Mom got my interested in opening the store again and I Thank her for that.. I have been busy and it had gotten put on the back burner for a while ,  but we are back and hoping for some interest... We shall see what happens...
Wy made it to North Carolina Safely  yesterday..Thank You.. Thank You... and all is well there... nice and cool but not much color yet.. He is excited to be there as the color comes....
Teresa and Mike go up there tomorrow ,I know they all will have a great time, feeling the fall....
I am off to work for the next three nights and hope all are well this beautiful week and weekend... signing off for now....

Just a quick note

I just wanted to mention that I opened the etsy store again today and was able to get a few things of mom's on for now... stay tuned as I begin to add more, plus some of my work this time... Thanks .... These two are just in time for Halloween..... have a great day ....

September Ends

How is it that today is the last day of this month and I have only written three times ??????
The month has been a blurrr ,it went by so fast......
Jenn was in the hospital from last Friday to Monday night with a kidney stone and that has been upsetting,  but she is feeling a bit better now,  and yesterday she recieved her packages from the baby shower... She is very excited to get those... Thank You ...Thank You... all of you, for that...
Amy has not been feeling her best either,but keeps at it , plugging along... I have had a stomach bug for two weeks, and am just about back to normal... Thank You !!! Yesterday Wy got stung in the head by a wasp and that hurt like heck... so Lets's just say, We are hoping to start this next month off on a little better note.....I sure hope things have been going better for all of you!!!!
I was able to get one more sketch done in this years sketch book, and several paintings for work, so I have been productive...
I just can't believe that October is here already.. I am however very ready for some cooler weather and for the fall...
All and all we have very little to complain about and I do feel very lucky to be me... Hope you guy s all have a good one .. see you back here soon...

Shower and Such....

A wonderful time was had by all on Saturday at Jenn's baby shower...
One of the big things we did, was to have everyone pick a number when they came in, and then make a Birthday Card for that year of his life...Everyone did not get finished so we continued them at our house last night at the get together... Now Aidan Angelo Matteliano will have one from birth to the age of 21.... FUN....
A big Thank You to Everyone who helped put this together...Jim and Jill ,Michael,Amy, Leah,Judy,Angelo,Sue and all who helped load and unload and clean up... It was a big success because of you all...  Thank You..  [ I hope I haven't for gotten anyone....]
Yesterday was also Pet Portrait day at P.W.A.T. and with 22 people, it went very well... We even had one person paint their goat and it turned out great... We all had fun...
What a nice weekend we have had....
Here we are to Monday and Jenn leaves tomorrow already... I am going to hate that, but am so happy to have gotten to have this much time with her...

Jenn's Home

 Home safe and sound and looking and feeling every bit of her 24 weeks along... Happy and Healthy..Thank you!!!
We are all so excited for her baby shower coming up this Saturday....I will post pictures on Sunday if possible...
Wy and I did our Limb gathering and fire in the yard on Tuesday,and then I taught ,"Just Relax" Tuesday Night.. It went very well and all were pleased...
Wy mowed and got this yard looking ship shape... Thank You,Wy!!! It looks great...
The deer pranced across the yard yesterday while I was watching and it really looked as if his mom was calling him , He would look up , run a bit,stop, eat an acorn, look up, run, and so on ... really a wonderful thing to see.. nature at her finest....
The weather has been back to hot and sunny but just enough cooler in the early morning to be able to open doors and windows for a bit... very nice reminder of what is coming.... and the rain has finally eased up for the last four days...Thank You!!!!
We had Fried Chicken for dinner last night, Jenn's Fave... and Amy and Leah joined us ,Michael came a bit later ..It was a very nice evening....

I hope this day turns out to be a good one for all...

No Rain for two days now....

WOW ..maybe I should not say that out loud..
Anyway    The tree guys were able to work yesterday and get the old dead trees down and cut back some,so they aren't a danger ,hanging over the house... Thank You!!! Thank You!!!
I also want to say a big Thank You to which ever angels are watching over me these days....My two right side tires were not set back on properly after a tire rotation and by the time we checked there were only two lug nuts holding the front one and three holding the back one on.... each is meant to have five.... Anyway Thanks again for looking out for me..... {that was quite scary}

Tuesday I went to P.W.A.T. to pre-paint, Wednesday Mom and I went to Sam's and the grocery store and Thursday I was back at P.W.A.T. pre-painting... Tonight is "looking Up".. Tomorrow is S.O.S. in the A.M. and" China and Wine" in the P.M.

Anyone Out There Need Some Rain???

We have  had plenty and are still having one or two down pours daily.... It's raining now......
First of all let me be very Thankful that the Hurricane was not as bad as they expected...but also hopeful you are all alright!!!!!!
Where did that week go????
Pet Portraits went very well yesterday, as well as the meeting before hand.
Saturday the girls met for lunch and a movie ,instead of breakfast... lunch was yummy, the movie was good right up until the last 10 minutes, and then, not so much...Just be warned in cause you plan on seeing "One Day" It's not the feel good movie I hoped it would be....Very upsetting instead....
Amy and Jalyn worked all weekend and were able to get the baby shower invitations in the mail last night ..Thank you both very much...
I am getting very excited to get to see Jenn on the 14th. of September...It can't get here soon enough....
I worked everyday but Saturday, and am doing" Looking Up 'tonight...and this is a good thing ,just in case you thought I was complaining , I not!!! I am very happy....
I hope you all have a very good week ,and if you need rain just give me a nood and I will try to steer it your way....

More Rain Last Night

Holy Smokes, the yard is flooded again from the downpour last night.....
It's been another busy and productive week here....
Last Sunday evening we had a very nice time at the bosses house get together..Thank You ! Thank You!!! Most of the artists were there from both studios and it was nice to see everyone....lots of good food and good company.....
Monday night Bruce and Jamie came for dinner and we had the left over Shepards Pie .. still yummy...
Tuesday night we had a full house at P.W.A.T. and I assisted Tobey and Becky and all went very well...
Jenny got the great news ,that she and Andy are having a boy!!!!! Everyone is very excited about this news!!!!!
Wednesday, Wy and I went to Sub World for lunch for the first time and had a very good lunch...Amy has been telling us to go there for years and we finally did, and will again.....Later that evening I taught Gerbera Daisy for a private party of 14 people ..That went well too!!
Thursday we picked up Rowan early while they started on Amy and Erics new roof ...and later Jamie came over with a container filled to the brim and overflowing with baby boy winter clothes for Jenn.. We skyped Jenn and showed her every piece...We had fun with that....
Friday we picked up Rowan again, I smashed my toe,Ouch!!!! but but a bit later I was able to get the first four Pet Portraits sketched on canvass...
Yesterday was very busy!!!!! I started of course with breakfast with the girls... then it was off to Teach "The silly Goldfish" from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.  and then to assist with 29 people doing the" Starry Night" ...Erin taught this one and Becky had 7 people in the other studio...
We had another really bad storm last night with lots of rain and high winds.. lots of water standing in the yard this morning again....
Well hopefully this will be a day of rest and maybe a few pet portraits will get sketched... we shall see ... anyway ya'll have a good one ya hear.....

Another week Gone

It's Saturday morning and as usual I am up and moving early...
Wy and Amy got home safely on Tuesday night and I had Sheperds pie waiting [with hamburger not lamb] anyway  yum...
Wednesday A.M. I had 18 for the "Silly Gecko" and that went pretty well..
Wednesday night we had book club at Mimi's and we all had a good time and loved the book.."The Beach Trees" by Karen White. We missed everyone who couldn't make it ...
Thursday night my class was cancelled ,the air conditioning in one room was out..
I am so looking forward to today.The book club is getting together to see the movie "The Help" and then going to Cracker Barrel for the southern cooking... should be fun....
Wy and I are both reading the next book club book, "What Alice Forgot.. Man it grabs you and pulls you in and you can"t put it down.. My favorite kind....
It was 99 degrees on the back porch at 5:00 p. m. yesterday, needless to say we were in the pool many times ...It will be the same today...
